Directory Submission Workflow Kit | Microsoft 365 Copilot
Directory submissions take hours to pull together, and most get skimmed in 15 minutes. If the work highlights are too long, too vague, or full of "market-leading" nonsense with no proof, researchers tune out. This kit catches all of that before you upload.
Your Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 directory submissions get 15 minutes.
Maybe.
Researchers read so many. If your work highlights are too long, it's information overload. If they're stuffed with words like "unrivalled" and "market-leading" with no evidence, you lose credibility (and they probably roll their eyes). If your deal values are inconsistent, you look sloppy.
Directory submission workflow kit for Microsoft 365 Copilot
So I built a workflow kit for Microsoft 365 Copilot to save hours pulling these submissions together. It's a set of prompts using Notebook that turn Copilot into a hostile researcher — the kind who'll tear your submission apart so the one you upload is spot on.
A few things it does —
It flags any work highlight that's too short or too long (directories are specific about this — they want substance, not essays)
It strips out the marketing fluff that researchers explicitly say they ignore
It adjusts the critique based on whether you're going for a new entry, an uplift, or holding your position
It runs every claim through a "so what?" filter. One of these days I'll find a politer way of saying that
And for managing partners who don't have time to read a written audit, there's a workflow that turns the objective feedback into a critical "podcast" they can listen to in the car.
The whole thing runs inside your firm's Microsoft 365 environment. No data leaves your tenant. It doesn't use third-party tools.
Two ways to get started
Download the scorecard — a quick checklist to test your submission in 60 seconds. Score yourself out of 12 and see where the gaps are.
Get the full workflow kit — the complete prompt pack, step-by-step instructions, and the "hostile researcher" system instruction. Email me and I'll send it over.
I've also turned this into a Copilot agent — happy to chat if you want something similar for your team.
